Our Commitment to Your Privacy
At TooMany, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application. The fundamental principle of our App is simple: your photos stay on your device.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
TooMany is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do NOT:
- Upload your photos to our servers or any cloud service
- Store your photos outside of your device
- Access the content of your photos beyond what's needed for local processing
- Share your photos with third parties
- Track which specific photos you view, keep, or delete
- Collect facial recognition data or biometric information
2. How the App Works
All photo analysis and processing occurs entirely on your device:
- Local Processing: The App uses your device's processing power to analyze photos, detect duplicates, and group similar images
- No Upload: Photos never leave your device during analysis or deletion
- Direct Access: The App interacts directly with your iOS photo library using Apple's PhotoKit framework
3. Information We May Collect
While we don't collect your photos, we may collect limited, non-personal information to improve the App:
Analytics Data
- App usage statistics (e.g., number of sessions, features used)
- Device type and operating system version
- App performance metrics (crashes, load times)
- Aggregated statistics (e.g., average number of photos reviewed per session)
Technical Information
- Device model and identifier
- iOS version
- App version
- Language and region settings
This data is anonymized and used solely to improve app performance and user experience.
4. Permissions Required
The App requires the following permissions:
Photo Library Access
Required to display, analyze, and delete photos as directed by you. This permission is mandatory for the App to function. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings, but the App will not be able to operate without it.
Optional Permissions
- Notifications: To send reminders about photo cleanup sessions (optional)
5. Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services:
Apple App Store
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your downloads and purchases are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics Services
We may use services like Google Analytics for Firebase or similar tools to collect anonymized usage data. These services do not have access to your photos.
Crash Reporting
We may use crash reporting tools to identify and fix bugs. These tools collect technical information about crashes but do not access your photos.
6. Data Security
Since your photos never leave your device, they are protected by your device's built-in security features, including:
- iOS encryption and security protocols
- Your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID
- iOS app sandboxing that prevents unauthorized access
Any anonymized analytics data we collect is transmitted over secure, encrypted connections and stored on secure servers.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Photo Library Access: You can revoke photo library access at any time through iOS Settings → Privacy → Photos

9. International Users
If you are using the App from outside the United States, please note that any information we collect may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to such transfer and processing.
