Terms of Use

Last updated:

These terms apply to the TooMany app and to toomany.app, both published by FAAST. By installing or using the app or the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use TooMany.

1. The service

TooMany helps you review the photos on your device one at a time, keep the ones you want, set others aside and, only when you confirm, ask your device to delete them. The app is free, works without an account and processes your photos on your device.

2. Your decisions and your backups

Every deletion is your decision. TooMany shows you the exact photos in your review list and your device asks you again before anything is removed. Once your device completes a deletion, TooMany cannot restore the photo; recovery depends on your device's Recently Deleted album or trash and on your own backups. Keep a backup of photos you care about.

  • Suggested photo groups come from dates and file sizes. They are hints, not proof that photos are duplicates.
  • Counts, progress and badges are for your reference only.

3. Acceptable use

  • Use TooMany for your own photos, on devices you are entitled to use, and in accordance with the law.
  • Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app or the website beyond what the law expressly allows.
  • Do not use the app or website to interfere with, damage or gain unauthorised access to any system.

4. Intellectual property

The app, the website, the TooMany name, the basket mark, the wordmark and all related content belong to FAAST or its licensors. The brand kit on this website may be used to write about or show TooMany under the rules published with it. Your photos remain yours; we claim no rights in them and never receive them.

5. App store terms

If you obtain the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.

6. No warranty

TooMany is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will meet your needs.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FAAST is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of photos, data, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use TooMany. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which is nothing.

8. Changes and ending use

We may update the app, the website or these terms. Material changes to the terms will be posted here with a new date, and continued use after that date means you accept them. You can stop using TooMany at any time by deleting the app; we may stop providing it at any time.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived.
